With two semi-classics in the can (Omloop and Kurnne) attention switches to the awesome Strada Bianchi that includes 46km’s of the ‘white roads’ of Italy near Sienna. Not in the same league as Paris Roubaix for toughness, the ‘white roads’ offer their own set of problems. If it rains the high speed dirt roads can cake the riders from head to head in mud and if dry it becomes a fine balance between pace and sliding off. Also in Italy is the Roma Maxima that closes in the shadow of the Roman Circus.

Giro d’Italia Strade MUD!

Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen is a stage race set in Belgium. Paris Nice is a great barometer of whom may win the Tour de France. Bradley Wiggins won in 2012 before winning the big race in the same year. Tirreno Adriatico was won in 2013 by Vincenzo Nibali who then won the Giro d’Italia. It’s a race with many stings.
