Such dominant racing from the top riders made the final an open and exciting affair with no clear favourite. In the end the ‘on form’ Damian Zielinski took the win by one length from Matt Rotherham, Pete Mitchell, Craig Maclean, John Paul and Jonathan Mitchell. The minor final was exceptionally close with Dutch rider Michael Veen and ‘back from retirement’ David Daniell grabbing the last two cash prize spots of 7th and 8th.
