Easter is not about eggs, fluffy bunny rabbits and warm spring weather. No, it’s much more than that for a cyclist; it’s time for cobbles and the Spring Classics, like the Tour of Flanders…
Pendragon Sports organise the Tour of Wessex, the biggest multi-stage cyclosportive in the world, in England’s beautiful South West. They also organise trips abroad to ride some of Europe’s biggest sportives; you can choose from Quebrantahuessos in Spain, the Gran Fondo Colnago, Maratona dles Dolomites in Italy or for something colder and more cobbled, there’s the Tour of Flanders that our man Vince Halpern went to try out.
Riding over cobbles and up brutally steep climbs in bitterly cold weather, lured on by the thought of drinking Belgium beer and eating frites at the finish, 15,000 riders partake in the Tour of Flanders Cyclosportive, which gives amateur riders an experience of the super-hard pro’s race the following day… (continued on page 2)>
