3 Peaks Cyclocross
The Three Peaks Cyclo-cross Race starts from Helwith Bridge near Settle in North Yorkshire. It takes place every year at the end of September amidst the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is the biggest Cyclo-Cross event in the Britain and without much doubt the toughest cyclo-cross race on the UK calendar.
It is illegal to ride over many of the sections of the race route that are usually footpaths or go across private land; permission to ride over these sections is granted just for the day of the race. It’s therefore impossible to train over most of the off-road sections beforehand making it a hard event to prepare for.
