Police Treatment Centres Fund Raising Ride
Police Treatment Centres will be the benefactors of a charity bike ride being organised by the Phoenix Peloton.
On Saturday 4th May 2024, you can ride the Phoenix Peloton Wellbeing Ride, raising funds for the Police Treatment Centres. The centres provide treatment for members of the Police following illness or injury. Almost 4000 members of the Police attend the Treatment Centres each year, mostly for intensive physiotherapy. Others seek support with stress-related conditions or anxiety and depression as part of their Psychological Wellbeing Programme.
The Phoenix Peloton Wellbeing Ride will start from the Harrogate branch of the PTC. Riders can choose from three distances: 100, 65 or 50 kilometres, over some beautiful, but tough terrain. The event is supported by Irwin Mitchell Law Firm and Bike Sporta+. The first forty riders to sign up will get a free jersey thanks to Irwin Mitchell and Bioracer.
We spoke about Phoenix Peloton previously, here. They’re an online community for the Emergency Services, NHS, Armed Forces and their supporters. The idea is to provide a way for members to ride and socialise together with their peers. In 2024 the Phoenix Peloton are also organising another European Adventure, this time a three day trip from London to Brussels. If you’d like to join the Phoenix Peloton, you can email them: phoenixpeloton@gmail.com . Or if you want more details about their 2024 European Adventure you can email: swoodward@sportagroup.com
