We know all about the boom that is taking over cycling in the UK, spurred on by recent victories in the Tour de France by British cyclists such as Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome, and so Cycling Costa Daurada have designed a package especially for British cyclists called the ‘British Cycling HTO’ (Half Term October).
The British Cycling HTO will take part from the 27th of October to the 2nd of November 2013 during the national half-term holiday week in England.
If you decide to take a break during this week and enjoy Cycling Costa Daurada’s HTO offer you can combine your holiday with cycling whilst enjoying 5-star service with 6 days full-board accommodation in Salou and a 5-days of road cycling. The accommodation is in the Cambrils Park Resort with fully equipped bungalows, catered by high quality services and facilities. It is just metres from sandy beaches and the Port Aventura theme park and resort is only 10 minutes away.
The area around Salou has quiet roads with very little traffic, stunning natural landscapes and great weather which attracts both amateur and professional teams to train on the smooth, winding roads. Much of this area’s economy is geared around prestige wine production (known as Priorat) and so the roads pass through many vineyards as well as picturesque towns.
The challenging mountains reach 2000 meters in height from where you get sensational views, but the variety of terrain means that the Cycling Coasta Daurada team can design the routes to perfectly suit your level. Each group is provided with a guide, plus a support vehicle to ensure the cyclists safety and comfort during the ride. Refreshments will be prepared and available at all times for you to regain your strength when needed, and if you have any trouble with your bike on route the Cycling Costa Daurada team will be there to help; as we said, Cycling Costa Daurada aim to make you feel like a true professional.
If you dont want to bring your own bike, Cycling Costa Daurada can provide you with a Trek Madone with Shimano 105.
All this costs £370, if you bring your own bike, and £430 if you hire one of their bikes. You can also enjoy this holiday with your whole family and the price for non-cycling companions is £220 per person.
