Velopace Big Dipper
Looking for an event to ride this weekend? The Big Dipper takes place in Sussex this Sunday, 12th Oct, with both 100 mile or 60 mile routes, but you need to get your entries in by Thursday…
So why is it called the Big Dipper? Velopace wanted to put on a sportive that really reflected what East Sussex is about; just take a look at the profile and you’ll see why they call it the Big Dipper…
The HQ is at the Observatory Science Centre at Herstmonceux, where you can learn about all things starry, including the Big Dipper, aka The Plough, Ursa Major and sometimes the Starry Plough, and all entrants receive a discounted family entry for the day.
