Festive Season International CycloCross Wrap
2014
The New Year cross races and especially the Grand Prix Sven Nys had the extra interest of being the first race where riders debute for new teams or compete on a new brand of bike. Notably Sven Nys forsook his Colnago of many, many years for a Trek (and with disck brakes!) for his new Crelan AA Drink Team and Rob Peeters appeared in his new Vastgoed Service Golden Palace colours and aboard a Colnago.
Sven Nys wins first time on his new Trek by Balant Hamvas – buy his 2012/13 Cross Annual
Other transfers of note are Dieter and Michael Vanthournhout who both switch to Sunweb Napoleon Games from BKCP-Powerplus. Under 23 hotshot Mathieu van der Poel upgrades from the feeder team and joins Vincent Bastaens at BKCP-Powerplus proper. Julien Taramarcaz is now at Kwadro Stannah moving from BMC.
