Builder and test rider, Tom Donhou, reckons it’ll do 102 mph though, based on his indoor testing on the rollers. Tom has to wear motorbike leathers and helmet when riding it, and had to put a ‘shed’ fairing on the back of his classic Zephyr to give him much needed extra drafting whilst riding down what looks like the Dunsfold Aerodrome runway in Surrey.
Here’s Tom talking about his experience, and you can watch the bike in action on both the runway and on the rollers. By the sounds of it he’ll be back again to achieve that 102mph top speed outside soon…
