Coed y Brenin Gravel Routes
Coed y Brenin Gravel Routes open Saturday May 25. Seven brand new Gravel/Adventure cycling trails for you to enjoy
Looking for some new routes to conquer on your gravel bike? Why not head over to the Eryri National Park, where they’ve built seven new gravel/adventure trails. Natural Resources Wales’ Recreation Team have crafted these waymarked trail networks over the previous year to provide as wide an appeal as possible, using funds generated from parking income.
100 kilometres of waymarked trails have been added in the largest trail development Coed y Brenin has seen for many years. There are routes to suit all ability and fitness levels from 9km to 36km. The trails are apparently suitable for novice cyclists, families, and experienced gravel riders alike. Detailed route guides are available and the trails are marked, so you shouldn’t get lost.

Ride and win
To mark the opening event, Beics Brenin have teamed up with Trek bikes and Rab. They’re offering some great prizes to those who come to ride the trails on the day. The grand prize is a brand new Trek Checkpoint ALR4 gravel bike that will go to one lucky rider. There will also be spot prizes from Rab who will be displaying some of their Cinder range of gravel/adventure cycle clothing.
Coed y Brenin
Coed y Brenin was Britain’s first purpose-built mountain biking centre. There are eight purpose-built mountain bike trails that start from the visitor centre. These range from easy trails for families and beginners to technical routes for expert riders. Other facilities include a bike shop and skills area where you can develop your riding techniques. The visitor centre is the starting point for walking and running trails through Coed y Brenin Forest Park as well as orienteering courses and geocaching trails.
