Action from the Cutmill Surrey League headquartered in Elstead on the 14th June 2015

 

Cutmill is a tough road circuit with a good amount of climbing during each 7 mile lap, especially when you factor in the 60 – 70 mile race distance…

 

The Surrey League always aim to put on two races each day, with a 60 mile 3rds race in the morning, followed by a longer 70 mile 2nd/3rd’s race in the afternoon.

 

The morning race was won by Geoffrey Lulham, private member (or no club stated on the start sheet). He won the bunch sprint, but was under the impression that a breakaway had succeeded, so believed he was sprinting for a minor place.
