Hoogerheide hosts the World Cyclo-Cross Championship

There could be a home lock out of the top step of the podium for three of the title races at the UCI World Cyclo-Cross Championships, to be held at Hoogerheide in the Netherlands over February 1/2.

UCI World Cup champion Lars Van Der Haar starts as many people’s personal favourite, whilst Marianne Voss is very much the best bet in the women’s race and in the under 23 men, Mathieu Van Der Poel has a strong claim for the top spot.

The normally dominant Belgians in nearly all categories start the junior race with two title contenders in the form of Yannick Peeters and Thijs Aerts.
