Week 2 of the Veterans and Women’s series organised by Twickenham CC’s Bill Butterworth and West Thames.
Abbie Dentus of De Ver Cycles took the ladies race ahead of Nikki Juniper of the Pearl Izumi Boot Out Breast Cancer cycling team and Tamina Oliver of Endura Ladyforce.

The vets race saw a strong turnout of over 100 riders, but it was just two that made the race as Martin Smith of BH-Solidor-WAM Youth and Darren Barclay of Artic Taxc RT, having quickly dropped the rest of the six strong breakaway group that went away within the first few laps, stayed away to the finish despite some determined riding in the bunch behind. Handsling Racing’s Vince Halpern took the bunch sprint for third.
