Lewis and Paul were both Royal Marines serving in Afghanistan

 

If you are interested in cycling part of the route with the men, contact them via facebook as they are keen for other cyclists to join them for morale support.

Rhys Jenkins: 25 year old Business Graduate from UWIC. Rhys was an Olympic Torch Bearer and a keen sports enthusiast who has completed several endurance challenges including the Boston to Austin 2000 Mile Run, Around The Clock, Around Wales, running Aberystwyth to Cardiff in 27hours (100 miles) and more recently the 1000TT that saw him cycle 1,100 miles in 10days via 4 of the steepest Tour de France inclines. Rhys works for Red Recruitment.

 

Scott Jenkins: 32 year old Territory Manager for Johnson and Johnson. Scott, like his brother Rhys, is a keen ultra endurance athlete. Their strong brotherly bond has seen Scott and Rhys complete multiple endurance challenges together. Scott also completed the Boston to Austin 2000 Mile Run, Around The Clock, Around Wales and more recently the 1000TT that saw him cycle 1,100 miles in 10days via 4 of the steepest Tour de France inclines. Scott is an amateur road cyclist who enjoys creating and completing endurance challenges that have not been done before. With Rhys he started their ultra lifestyle back in 2010 with the Boston to Austin run.

 

Lewis Earls: Serving Marines Commando who has served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Lewis has completed other endurance events, such as smaller scale cycling events and numerous amounts of other endurance challenges while serving in the Commandos.

 

Ross Stephenson: 32 year old Audi Car Salesman. Ross was one of Paul’s closest friends and enjoys keeping fit through football and golf. His greatest sporting achievement to date is completing the Cardiff half-marathon. Ross is not an avid cyclist nor an avid ultra-endurance athlete. Ross decided to take on this ultra challenge purely based on the loss of his best friend and to honour his memory.
